The 2017-2026 Suzuki GSX-R1000 is flagship liter-class supersport bike. It is powered by a 999.8cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine with exclusive SR-VVT racing variable valve timing derived from MotoGP tech. Output hits 202HP from 2017 to 2025, revised to 195HP & 110N·m on 2026 version for Euro5+ emission compliance.

Standard six-axis IMU electronics include 10-level adjustable TCS, cornering ABS, bidirectional quickshifter, launch control and wheelie mitigation system. It features lightweight twin-spar aluminum frame; base model uses standard Showa suspension while R variant gets full-adjustable premium Showa racing shocks, paired with Brembo monoblock calipers and 320mm T-Drive brake discs. Curb weight 202kg with 16L fuel tank. The 2026 40th anniversary edition adds carbon fiber winglets and exclusive livery, built for both track racing and legal daily sport riding。
